About the Item
Unique optical methacrylate light sculpture, France 1970s. Wonderful dimensional light sculpture composed of multiple methacrylate pieces, the pieces are dynamically positioned in a sunburst pattern and are gets lower in a bowl shape to the center which strengthens the optical center effect. The work shows an intriguing play between light and dark and spreads a wonderful warm light when lit a beautiful interplay between light and form, the light is center focussed which causes a beautiful gradient further of the center. Very interesting graphical ordered play of deep black and transparant shapes which transforms into a spectacular warm and ambient starburst with the light switched on. Great sophisticated artistic quality and executed with excellent refinement proving the hand and artistic vision of a very skilled artist. The light object can be hang on the wall or used as a large table or floor lamp. The light source inside is dimmable. In excellent condition.
