As artists, one of the joys in life is to fall in love with a color, shape, or idea. That is what happened with the pillow light. Once in hand it became a fun exercise to see how many ways the pillow glass could be used in a lighting fixture.
Mouth blown glass made in Brooklyn with just the perfect balance of translucency and opacity. Providing a nice light without glare--we have taken advantage of this and used very thin stems to suspend the pillow glass--they almost seem to float
The individual arms of the pillow chandelier can be adjusted—allowing you to create your own meteor shower.

Based in Brooklyn NY, we restore and replicate fixtures from iconic and landmarked historic buildings and institutions. The wonderful and never ending diversity of lighting has kept us engaged for many decades. Aurora Lampworks had specialized in the restoration of OPP - other people’s property. There is great satisfaction in making something old or in poor repair look cared for and well maintained. And of course, very importantly - safe! Now after all of the thousands of fixtures that we have restored or fabricated for other people, we are making our own collection of fixtures. Combining form and function, and always craft, the collection is made here in New York as we aim to keep industry at home and bring another facet to the diverse repertoire of our busy weeks.
