Pair of Antique French Clear Glass Scent or Perfume Bottles with a Fitted Case

About the Item

This antique set of glass perfume or scent bottles with a fitted case are unsigned, but presumed to have originated from France and dating to approximately 1880 in the period Louis XVI style. The bottles are composed of clear glass with faceted stoppers, which fit snugly into two compartments in the case. The case is done with a combination of leather and green velvet and the liner of the top is done in silk. The box is accented with brass framing and hinges, but the front clasp is worn and does not clip securely.

Condition:
Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. Some light wear to the bases of the stoppers. Some wear to the outer shell and inside of the case and the front clasp will not clip correctly such that the top cannot be secured. Overall wear as presented in the photos and consistent with age and use.
