Venetian Antique Murano Yellow Gold Fleck Italian Art Glass Dimple Squared Cruet
About the Item
Beautiful antique, early Venetian hand blown yellow and gold flecks Italian art glass cruet with original stopper. Attributed to the Compagnia Di Venezia E Murano (C.V.M.) glasshouse. The bottle has a rounded form, but dimpled on each side, making it an unusual squared shape at the bottom. Nicely formed lip at the rim, and it is profusely covered in gold leaf throughout. The color is made up of tiny little dots of color, and you can see some stray blue and pink dots within the glass as well. Has a point pontil mark underneath. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or curio cabinet. Collectors item. Late Victorian era. Measures 5 1/2" tall x 3 3/4" wide.
