About the Item
A refined 19th-century French vanity set crafted in vibrant opaline blue glass, richly adorned with ornate gilt bronze mounts in the Rococo Revival style, typical of the Napoleon III period (circa 1860–1880). The set consists of two tall ewers, a miniature perfume bottle with stopper, and a cylindrical glass holder — possibly for brushes or small accessories.
Each piece features exquisite hand-cast bronze mounts with scrolling foliage, floral motifs, and intricate filigree details, creating a harmonious balance between opulence and craftsmanship. The electric blue hue of the opaline glass offers a stunning contrast to the gilded bronze, making the set a striking decorative ensemble.
Condition:
Good antique condition overall. One ewer has a damaged handle (visible in the photos), and the perfume bottle has a small chip on the neck rim.
