About the Item

This museum-worthy object is a uranium glass set consisting of a plate, a bowl, and a lid. Made in Bohemia around 1840 during the Biedermeier period. This glass object is an outstanding piece, not only because it is made of very rare uranium glass (it glows), but also because it is historic—an original from the Biedermeier period. An exciting shape with rich details, the glass was hand-cut and then hand-painted all over with floral and geometric decorations. The curved handle of the lid features a star design. Measurements approx.: height 6,30 in - 16 cm, diameter 7,09 in - 18 cm A wonderful, exceptionally rare piece in excellent condition that has always been kept in a display case. An impressively complete historical piece.
