A finely made Art Deco Carlton Ware pottery Rouge Royal Mikado pattern lidded ginger jar dating between 1935 and 1955. The jar stands on a narrow rounded foot with a rounded bulbous body and a narrow raised rim with a fitted hat shaped cover with raised finial. The jar is decorated in deep rich red lustre glazes with chinoiserie painted designs applied in colored enamels and highlighted with gilding and with similar decoration to the cover and with gilding applied to the rims and finial. The jar has printed and impressed makers marks to the base. In good condition.
