Chinese antique white pottery vase/17th century/excavated vase/

About the Item

A Chinese vase made in the late Ming to early Qing dynasty (1600s). It was made in southern China (Fujian Province). It is an excavated item. In Japan, it is called an "anpin" vase. It is so named because it was first discovered in Anping, where Fort Zeelandia is located in Tainan. It is thought to have been produced as a container for export goods from China at the time, but the contents are unknown. It is said to be white porcelain, but it is not hard porcelain, and this vase has a softness like pottery. It is glazed with a transparent glaze, but it has a bluish and yellowish tinge. It has a fixed shape, with a string-like mouth, and the shoulder just below it is strongly protruding. The bottom part is the largest diameter, and from there it progresses rapidly downward, and the diameter of the bottom part is quite small. The balance is good, and the standing posture is beautiful. The glossy glaze also reflects the light and sparkles, making it attractive. The 15th and 16th photos have very fine cracks, so if you put water directly into them, the water will seep in slowly. Therefore, if you want to decorate them with flowers, fill another container with water and place them in the vase. Weight: 1.6kg We, Brood, are a company consisting of four different stores with four different brands. We offer a wide range of attractive items from all over the world with a focus on Japanese items.
