About the Item
Gorgeous, and large vintage Murano hand blown white, aqua color trim and gold flecks Italian art glass jar / container. Created in the manner of the Barovier e Toso workshop. In the style of early Vetreria Artistica Barovier pieces I have previously owned. The lid has an applied flower top decoration, in white and gold leaf, with green leafs. The entire piece is profusely covered in heavy gold leaf throughout, from top to bottom. The container also has a nice ribbed pattern. Would make a great display piece on any dresser, console table, or mantel. Fill it with candy, or use it as a flower vase without the lid. You will be able to showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Mid-century era. Measures: 13” tall x 6 1/2" across.

A similar piece is shown in the "Venetian Glass - An Important Private Collection" catalog by Christies East, 1995. The one they illustrate is without the lid.
