About the Item
The jug is made of fine pottery with a cream colored glaze cover. The flared body shows elements in relief in the first elevation. Then a central band with a fox hunting scene with trees and a gate in low relief. The rim is distinct, flared, with an invitation for the pouring of the liquid. The handle of the jug depicts branches from which a hunting dog emerges. Wedgwood production, branded below deck. England, circa 1940.
