Rare Artist Made Small Ceramic French Collum Capital Mortar

About the Item

This small antique French mortar was sourced in the south of France. It's an iconic and traditional kitchen object found all over France. Its traditional use was and still is to grind seeds and herbs. This kitchen mortar will instantly add a touch of provencal flair to your kitchen. This mortar is artisan made by a ceramicist. Its unique shape of a capital, a traditional decor used on top of agent pillars, is something we have never seen before. The beautiful color and pattern of the mortar make this piece truly unique and beautiful. The mortar has no visible chips or instabilities and comes with its original pestel.. On the bottom of the mortar, the signature of the artist can be found.
