Antique Tibetan Copper Brass Bronze, Gem-inlaid Water Vessel

About the Item

Copper vessels such as this have been made for literally centuries by Tibetan monks and other cultural sectors. The craftsmanship is wonderfully rustic with hammered copper, brass and bronze overall, yet portrays the intricacies of such beautifully meaningful designs and all work together in this stunning vessel. Vessels such as this, most likely, were ceremonially used when considering the intricacies of the design and usage of gems weren’t often used in every day items. The top crests of the vessel showcases Mahakala, the protector. The body of the vessel illustrates other figures of meditation. The upper body rim is gem-inlaid with a diverse array of gem stones, giving this piece even greater allure. Flanking the Mahakala around the top portion are lotus flowers with gems inlaid in their centers. Truly a stunning compilation of design and color make this piece a truly unique find for a collector or as a design touch that will draw visual interest from guests.
