Antique Art Nouveau Sterling Silver & Loetz Candia Phaenomen Art Glass Vase
About the Item
A fine Art Nouveau silver mounted art glass vase.
Comprising a Loetz Phaenomen glass body in Candia coloration and an Art Nouveau hand hammered Martel type silver mounts by the Hartford Sterling Company of Philadelphia, PA.
The vase is likely the product of a collaborative effort between the Loetz glass company and the Hartford Sterling Company.
The mounts appear to be secured with plaster, and the base wiggles slightly.
All in all, simply a wonderful Art Nouveau / Jugendstil vase!

Overall Condition:
It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
Condition Details:
The base is secured with plaster and has a slight wiggle at the joint. There are some light bends to the silver and a few spots of persistent tarnish here and there. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.

Marked to the top silver mount withe Hartford Sterling Company maker's mark and sterling and Sterling to the bottom mount.
