About the Item

This gorgeous pair of Empire period French antique straight crystal vases epitomizes classic elegance and timeless beauty. The crystal is expertly crafted, offering a clear, radiant quality that catches the light with every angle. What truly elevates these vases is the delicate gold ormolu wreaths, meticulously gilded onto the surface, adding a regal touch and enhancing the overall grandeur of the design. These vases, with their refined and straight silhouette, are perfectly suited for holding fresh flowers, their understated elegance allowing the blooms to take center stage. The gilded wreaths are a nod to the Empire period, reflecting the opulence and sophistication of French design from that era. This pair of vases is not only a stunning decorative accent but also a piece of history, bringing a sense of refinement and luxury to any space. Whether displayed on a mantel, console, or as part of a grand floral arrangement, these vases will undoubtedly be admired for their beauty and craftsmanship.

By Thomas Webb & Sons
Located in Long Island City, NY
A Fine Matched Pair of Late 19th Century Thomas Webb and Sons Cameo Crystal Art Vases The front panels with red and white etched scenes of birds and flowers. Thomas Webb & Sons was an English glass company, founded in 1837 by Thomas Webb (1804-1869) near Stourbridge, England. The name T. Webb & Co. was adopted in 1842, and later became Thomas Webb & Sons. Webb operated the Platts glasshouse from 1837 to 1856 and then the Dennis glassworks from 1855 to 1990. George Woodall would produce the most distinguished Webb Cameo...
