About the Item

Exquisite Hand-Decorated White and Blue Opaline Glass Vases with Gold, Enamel, and Jewel Beads – France, Circa 1860 These stunning white and blue opal glass vases are intricately hand-decorated with 24k matte and burnished gold enamel, and applied jewel beads. Each vase is set on a circular flat foot, adorned with multiple gilded circles, adding a rich texture to the base. The circular body is embellished with finely applied red beads, surrounded by hand-painted gilded enamel designs. The top, in striking blue, features further gilding and jewel accents, forming a beautiful border beneath the cut and gilded rim. This remarkable pair is a fine example of French glass artistry, dating to around 1860, combining opulence with masterful craftsmanship.
