AVeM Murano Blue Iridescent Pulegoso Bubbles Italian Art Glass Flower Vase
About the Item
Beautiful antique Murano hand blown blue with slight iridescent surface Italian art glass flower vase with applied foot. Documented to the Arte Vetraria Muranese company (A.Ve.M.). It still retains an original, but worn, "Avem - Made In Italy - Murano" red and silver label underneath. Similar ones (more rounded - see photo) are published, photo illustrated in the company book. It seems to be a mix between model numbers 457 and 462, with a more angular straight line design. The vase is entirely created from bubbled glass, the "Pulegoso" technique. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or curio cabinet. Art Deco, Mid-century era. Rare piece. Collectors item. Unusual larger size. Measures 7 3/8" tall x 5" wide at the top.
