About the Item

This french Vase is a very nice, early object of the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil era. The glass body is made of orange glass with a beautifully cut top. The entire bolbous body is over and over painted with stylized branch decor, this makes it a wonderful example of the floral Art Nouveau movement. A special highlight is the collar cuff around the upper end of the vase. It is a rocaille decoration, handpainted in gold, which still shows the attachment to the previous stylistic forms of historicism. Measurements approx.: height 12 cm - 4,7 in, diameter 16 cm - 6,3 in A beautiful flower vase from a time when there was no purity of style, but when different art movements existed in parallel.
