Exquisite contemporary Japanese decorative porcelain vase, intricately hand painted in blue underglaze in various shades of blue on a stunning ovoid shape body, a signed work by highly acclaimed award-winning master porcelain artist from the Arita-Imari region in Japan . In 2016, the British Museum added a work by this artist to its collection of contemporary Japanese porcelain in the Imari-Arita polychrome enamel tradition. His profile is available upon request.

A seamless fish scale pattern expressed in blue reprsenting waves creates a stunning scene from the ocean with fluid waves and auspicious sea breams (tai,) symbolizing good fortune swimming above the waves. The auspicious fish scale pattern symbolizes continuous waves, a wish for a steady and peaceful life and longevity.
This exquisite porcelain vase comes in a custom made wooden case signed by the artist.
