About the Item

This is a large stoneware vase or urn, hand potted by the Moira Pottery Company, near Burton on Trent, Leicestershire in England. The Moira Pottery works was founded in 1922 and demolished in the 1970s. This hand potted stoneware vase has a Classic baluster shape with ring fluted neck detail and two high loops handles either side. The jug has a soft beige stone color. This jug is from Moira Pottery's Hillstonia range and it has a Hillstonia mark printed in black on the base. This is a substantial and very decorative piece weighing well over 2Kg unpacked.
