Pair of Early 19th Century English Derby Vases with Encrusted Florals

About the Item

A beautiful pair of early English Derby vases dating from the early 1800’s. With elaborate hand encrusted flowers, each one separately made to form a large bouquet in the manner of Meissen. The body is painted in a luscious green with a white and gold vine leaf shaped rim and a similar shape moulded between the base of the neck and the top part of the vase. The feet have gilded lion’s claws and the sides are adorned with gilded porcelain handles. Derby, England circa 1810
