Pair of Large Meiji Period Blue and White Porcelain Vases

About the Item

A magnificent pair of late 19th century (Meiji period 1868-1912) flared neck vases. The true pair of urns exhibit exquisite hand painted details featuring parrots, cherry blossoms, bamboo, and arrow leaf. The molded base and neck each vase is decorated with a meandering tendril design with flowers and vines. Beautifully drawn and executed designs on a highly desirable size vessel, Japan, circa 1890.
