About the Item

Outstanding Art Nouveau object, a bronze spinx on an onyx base on spheres, supporting a cornucopia, made by the Kralik glass manufactory, around 1900, Vienna, Austria. This special object impresses with its outstanding quality, size, and condition. Supported on an onyx slab by four ball feet, is a mythological female figure, a standing sphinx. It is of wondrous beauty, with a pearl necklace and other details, terminating in a floral tail. The sphinx carries a masterful piece of glass from the Kralik glass manufacturer, in the shape of a cornucopia. Typical for Kralik is the high-quality workmanship, as well as the glass threads that run across the entire opalescent surface. The object has no flaws—in fact, the entire glass is free of chips, damage, and scratches. Measurements approx.: height 13,58 in - 34,5 cm, width 11,02 in - 28 cm, depth 5,71 in - 14,5 cm (measurements of the cornucopia: height 8,27 in - 21 cm, opening 5,51 - 6,30 in, 14 - 16 cm) Buy a special Art Nouveau object from Vienna that will be an eye-catcher on any table or dresser; its size makes it an outstanding piece.
