Swedish Mid-Century Glass Vase "Grass", designer Vicke Lindstrand and manufactured by Swedish firm Kosta. 1950s Sweden.
An elegant glass vase featuring engraved patterning of fine grass blades spreading over the glass surface. Features what looks like an almost hour shaped shape when viewed from the top. Produced by Swedish glass design company Kosta. The piece was designed by Vicke Lindstrand, who was the creative director for Kosta from the 1950s up until the 1970s. A great innovator in technical and aesthetical mastery of glass design, Vicke Lindstrand's design was featured during world fairs (including Paris and New York during the interwar period), design competitions of the Olympic Games as well as the Milano Triennale.
