About the Item

This tall vintage vase is distinguished by its richly layered oxblood flambé glaze — a deep burgundy red that subtly shifts toward violet and plum, especially near the rim and shoulders. Fired in a reduction atmosphere, the glaze creates moments of subtle iridescence and cooler undertones, with a glossy finish that enhances the piece’s fluid form. The silhouette is elegant and timeless: gently waisted with a rounded shoulder and a wide, flared mouth (measuring 7.25 inches of diameter). Both the exterior and interior are fully glazed, with the inside bearing the same lustrous finish, making the piece watertight and suitable for fresh floral arrangements. The base remains unglazed, revealing the warm tone of the stoneware body. Measuring just over 23 inches tall, the vase brings a striking vertical presence to any space — whether displayed on a pedestal, console, or low table. With its moody color shifts and sculptural simplicity, it works beautifully in both traditional and modern interiors.
