About the Item
Exceptional Swedish Stump Chair ca 1650–1700
Crafted from driftwood sourced in Dalarna, Northern Sweden, this remarkable chair is made from a single pine log.
It features an extraordinary wood grain pattern and a patina that reflects centuries of natural aging.
Metal reinforcements, including a ribbon and nails, were added during the late 19th century, enhancing both its structural integrity and historical character.
