Antique American carnival amusement park, carousel motorcycle ride, from the late 1940s.
A fabulous late 1940s motorcycle carousel ride, the motorcycle body is made of wood and is hand-painted on both sides, on close inspection it seems to be the original paint & also most all of it remains, with some minor expected losses. The headlight & wheel guards are made of polished steel, the base is made of cast-iron where the ride was bolted to the carousel.
The seat has had the fabric/vinyl replaced in recent years, the handle bars are made of steel and have the original grips, condition is rather remarkable & original, the motorcycle is freestanding it is robust & very sturdy and will support a substantial human.
This ride is one of the earliest motorcycles produced for carousels and merry-go-rounds and is ready to grace your space.

A very attractive antique early 19th century hand painted folk art Swedish dowry/blanket chest, circa 1820.
The sarcophagus shaped lidded top enclosing a large storage area for clothing or bedding, the interior of the lid still possesses the original un-oxidized paint. Both the body and top of the chest retain the original hand painted decoration. The front, top and rear with oval cartouches painted with exotic birds and surrounded by stylized floral & fruiting decoration, each side has a circular cartouche with corresponding decoration. The sides of the chest have the original cast iron carrying handles, the chest is raised upon bracket feet, the chest is clean and aroma free and is ready to store your bedding, clothing or anything else you care to place in it!
