Antique Green Drip-Glazed Ceramic Bowl Vintage Mid-Century Studio Pottery Pot
About the Item
Add a soulful touch of Mediterranean charm to your space with this hand-thrown Italian ceramic bowl, masterfully crafted in the Puglia region. This vintage drip-glazed bowl features an arresting palette of variegated greens with rich olive, emerald, and moss tones cascading over the surface, evoking the beauty of sun-drenched Italian landscapes. (To us, it resembles a geranium.)
Its wide, flared rim and organically uneven shape suggest a mid-century modern sensibility blended with ancient artisan tradition. The bowl’s tactile glaze technique creates a mesmerizing marbled effect both inside and out, making it a sculptural accent piece perfect for wabi-sabi, organic modern, or rustic European interiors.
This piece works beautifully as a decorative bowl for a console, a ceramic fruit bowl, or a centerpiece for an antique dining table. Its artistic irregularities and softly weathered finish reflect the handmade nature of vintage Italian pottery.
The bottom is marked with a hand-incised mark, not stamped as is common with studio pottery rather than mass-produced ceramics.
