Mari Simmulson (1911-2000) for Upsala-Ekeby, Sweden. Large ceramic figure of a woman. Hand-decorated with white, black and cobalt blue (hands and face unglazed). Model 9032M. Approximately 1960. Marked. Very good condition. Mari Simmulson is considered a prominent female figure in the prestigious world of 20th-century Swedish ceramic design. As one of the leading designers for Gustavsberg and Upsala-Ekeby, she played a key role from the 1940s through the 1970's. In very good condition.
