Mid-Century Modern Pair of Ceramic Birds with Beautiful Glaze Signed KW 9723
About the Item
Very tasty duo of mid-century modern birds in a stylized shape and wonderful glaze pattern.
The downward looking animal has a cheerful flower pattern on both wings. The upward looking bird has a herringbone pattern on its wings.
The thick white lava glaze really stands out against the black ceramic. The sparsely applied red and turquoise accents are a rare exception to this.
The style reminds us strongly of the artworks by Vallauris.
Signed KW 9723.
