About the Item
Ceramic panel with 7 tiles including: 4 characters with Venetian mask and musical instruments and 3 with light points. The composition is hand-painted with pure gold trim, made by Otello Rosa for the Venetian manufacturer San Polo in the 1950s.
San Polo specializes in the production of artistic ceramics, active since 1947 (for about twenty years) and founded by Riccardo Mason, in Campo San Polo in Venice. Permanent collaborators include artisan Otello Rosa, artistic director of the manufactory from 1951 to 1959 and creator of this ceramic.
The whole panel measures 100x25 cm, each tile is fixed on a wooden panel. The first tile on the left is signed and has the production mark "San Polo Venezia Italy, O. Rosa."
The state of preservation is very good. In the whole work, the wiring was changed and three new bulbs inserted.
