A fantastic, large hand-carved swan decoy with a beautiful, natural glowing patina that comes with age. This piece has a wonderful classic shape and finely carved texture.
The work is signed by the artist (Esmer) and dated (1929) on the base/underside.
Swan decoys are fairly uncommon. This piece has a great feel and heft to it. Would be a great addition to any folk art decoy collection or an eye-catching stand-alone accent piece in about any setting.
