Wabi Sabi Primitive 1940s Folk Art Brass Tack Stool
About the Item
Charming original handmade early 20th C. stool with faux leather upholstery that has the most perfect wear and patina. The weight is impressive, considering the size, a testament to the density of the old wood.
This is a great piece to rest a book or for use as display of smaller objects or clothing in a boutique, as a riser.
The natural wear is the absolute best part of this piece, which is weathered and worn in the most beautiful way. The edges of the faux leather are held in place by hand-hammered brass tacks, irregularly spaced, yet wabi-sabi perfection.
This piece is part of a collection of Folk Art pieces we, at CONTEXTvintage, have assembled that work together. Shipping for the entire collection can be combined and favorable pricing for the set is available; please DM with interest for more photos and details, including dimensions and more videos.
