18th Century Oil on Canvas Italian Antique Seascape Landscape Painting, 1730
About the Item
Italian school of the first half of the 18th century. Oil artwork on canvas depicting a refined landscape of good pictorial quality. In the foreground we find numerous characters accompanying the animals to graze while we glimpse some moored ships on the left. In the background we recognize a village and a castle with a medieval watchtower. Non-coeval frame in carved and gilded wood, with some signs of aging. Painting that has undergone restoration with relining, replacement of the frame and recovery of color in some places (see photo), overall in good state of conservation. Sight size H 27.5 x W 32.5 cm.
