About the Item
A wonderful, unique, relatively large, very engaging original indigenous Australian Aboriginal dreaming painting by Northern Territory Yolngu artist David Malangi (1927-1999. He is also known as David Malangi Daymirringu) who was one of the most well-known bark painters from Arnhem Land and a significant figure in contemporary Indigenous Australian art.
David Malangi Daymirringu's work can be found in numerous prominent collections and museums including:

The painting is made with natural earth ochre pigments which are hand painted on natural organic flattened stringybark wood panels taken usually from eucalyptus trees.
