This is a very beautiful , highly detailed and well executed portrait of a woman. Created in the early nineteenth century with graphite on paper. A charming vintage oil on fiber board painting of a young child with a blue and white cup and a piece of bread (?). Painted in shades of warm brown, pinks, maroons and whites. Surface abrasions and scratches are evident from rough handling. The board is stable and the paint is not flaking. There is some craquelure in the upper left and lower right quadrants but it is not loose. Framed in an old Victorian frame which has some losses due to age but is stable and gives the painting character. Overall just a fun and unique piece. Painting is unsigned.
