Iconic Southwest Weaving Rug, c. 1920-30's

About the Item

Unique Abstract Landscape Art Meets Mystical Energy of the Iconic Southwest Weaving in Unreal Dyes About: Don't buy this. There are so many other great pieces we have, buy one of them instead. I considered not even listing this, it's just one of my absolute favorites that have ever crossed our collection. I have thought about keeping it for our home, and still might. I'm not sure if I'll ever come across something in this vein that speaks to me so truly on a primitive level. It is like a fantasy or oasis in the minds of the weavers, a vision or dream that they had and had to weave at the loom. I just love it. True art; landscape art, a breath of abstract art, slightly deconstructed art, all surrounded by the iconic weavings of the Southwest Persian master weavers - and not only the weaving itself, but the dyes... the colors in this piece are next-level incredible. Just look at this rug and you will Never get tired of it; it is a masterpiece when it comes to its uniqueness. These eyes have seen a lot of rugs over the years, only a handful this unique to me. So, I am listing it for sale for a price that will ensure me that it'll go to a good place, to someone that genuinly loves it for what it is- art art art. Not a rug. This doesn't mean you have to hang it, this doesn't mean you put it in a space with no foot traffic - no, this means use it and let it be loved and viewed and inspire the very eyes and souls that cross it. These rugs are to be enjoyed, not just by you, but by the world - be the messenger and show it off to the world. Size: 4.6 x 6.6 Age: Antique, C. 1920-30's Pile: Low with age-related wear and lovely patina throughout. This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one in the world, no others are available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects. Always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding. This rug is also available with a custom cut pad (sold separately).
