About the Item
Antique Japanese Recycled Zanshi-Ori Futon Cover
Zanshi-ori cloth is woven from leftover or repurposed threads, either from commercial kimono production or home produced recycled cotton or silk yarns. It is characterized by the subtle, random gradation of the weft threads and, in this case, the abundant use of colored silk yarns to create a vibrant banding sequence.
This is an early example in very good condition.
