The four headed pendant symbolises decapitated head-trophies from the Naga headhunters. The Naga people, a variety of tribes from northeastern India and northwestern Burma, are renowned for their craftsmanship, especially in jewelry and brasswork. During significant rituals, both men and women adorn themselves in traditional ceremonial attire and intricate ornaments, featuring striking necklaces such as this one.
