Very early large Yoruba divination board, a classic form round board with face at top, figures, couples, snakes, cowrie shells and other items around the edge of the board. Heavy wood, early 20th century, Nigeria. Areas of erosion, old insect damage and wear in center from traditional use. Provenance: ex - Mereidi Singer Stoli collection, ex Lempertz Auction 2019 With small metal stand for vertical display.
