Hand Carved Tribal Wooden Nepalese Beaker Milk Pot with Handle
About the Item
Large hand carved tribal wooden beaker Nepalese milk pot with handle.
Early 20th century antique tribal milk pot with incised pattern.
This rustic milk pot was hand carved of local hardwood in the middle hills of western Nepal, using very basic tools.
Geometric designs adorn the body of the pot. A stylized monkey sits on the side and forms its handle.
The pot would have been used to hold milk, yogurt or clarified butter.
The cup measures 6.5 diameter x 8.5 inches height.
From the Middle Hills of West Nepal, Kathmandu.
