mid-20th century Tami Islands Papua new guinea wooden feast bowl Of classic form, each end carved with raised and incised imagery depicting stylized sea creatures with decorative incising extending along the sides. Overall excellent patina, on a custom base. Collected in the Huon Gulf area of Papua New Guinea. Presented on a custom, museum style stand. From the well respected collection of Leo and Lillian Fortess.
