1970's German Industrial Copper & Brass Marine Pendant Light by Wiska
About the Item
A reclaimed 1970s vintage industrial large copper and brass German cargo pendant.
Made by Wiska, a German manufacturer of industrial fixtures and fittings. Reclaimed from supertankers and professionally restored in the UK ready for use in modern interiors.
The main body is made fro spun copper with a fluted form, the fittings are cast brass which gives the fixture a robust quality weighing appx 18kg.
These fixtures were originally used as flood lights on the gantry's of super tankers and cargo ships, the copper and brass material is resistant to corrosion at sea.
There is a mechanical feature which allows the light to be tilted using the levers either side of the yolk which gives the fixture directional focus functionality.
