19th Century Napoleon III Rifle Bayonet Steel Brass Bronze Pendant Chandelier
About the Item
A exceptional Napoleon III steel twenty eight light chandelier, made from bayonet handles and blades from the Franco/ Prusian war shaped into scrolling branches, each handle with impressed numbers stamps including French M.1822 socket bayonets and cocking-pieces from M.1866 Chassepot service rifles, with applied giilt-metal tropphy mounts.
The lamp has been electrified and is fully functional, each light point with a lamp shade in silver patent leather and gold interior. A truly rare and exceptional lamp
