Rare, large, artistic and highly decorative antique chandelier. For the collectors and for the interior designers who are always looking for rare Medieval Style antiques we also have this all original, work-of-art chandelier from the earliest years of the 1900s. This German Lusterweibchen chandelier is entirely handcrafted and the workmanship of all its components is among the best you will ever see. The beautifully hand-painted, half mermaid / half siren sculpture is made of a thick plaster-like material with metal wires running through it for extra strength. Her body, face and colors make her a joy to behold and the typical Mermaid tail too is of exceptional design and beauty. In her right hand she is holding a (wooden) glass and under her other arm she is holding a harp (like the ones that sirens would use to lure sailors to them). This unique, four-light pendant also comes with all four original glass shades in exceptional condition. One 'came out' looking less pink in color, but to find such an antique chandelier with all four, mouth blown glass shades still there is an absolute rarity in its own right. With the perfect antler-arms this large size antique is even more impressive and to us, this is the ideal chandelier for a tavern, for a restaurant, for a hunting lodge, for a dining area or for any other room that is for socializing, drinking, music making and entertaining in general. Besides being a great chandelier this striking European antique also is a great talking piece (she will always give visitors something to talk about) and a work of art that can and will be enjoyed by many more generations after you. Apart from a few missing finger tips on one hand (where one can see the iron wires in the fingers) this unique and large chandelier could hardly be in better condition. This rare antique light fixture too will be rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and with some chain attached you can always create the height/drop that is perfect for you.
