About the Item
Beautiful Italian chandelier designed by Oscar Torlasco made in Italy in the 1960s. Known for his lamps that diffuse soft light through optical glass lenses, the Roman designer Oscar Torlasco (1934 - 2004) established himself in the '50s and '60s designing for several Italian companies specializing in lighting, such as Esperia, Stilux, Stilkronen. Oscar Torlasco won the Italian design award, the “Compasso d’Oro” (Golden Compass) for his Genova 4053 street lighting in 1959. Metal, the common denominator of his pieces, is also used by Torlasco for lamps and chandeliers with a much more eclectic taste, generally combined with marble, Murano glass and crystal. Metal chandelier has 6 crystal glass “optic lens”.
The lamp is in very good vintage condition.
