Cuna Ceramic Pendant By Nani Goods Contemporary Folk Art

About the Item

Inspired by the cultural roots of the artist's maternal grandparents, this piece fuses elements of Mexican Folk Art with a Scandinavian inspired silhouette. The piece gets its name Cuna from the Spanish word meaning cradle. The blended design cradles the lights it holds and emulates a dancing mobile with its cast shadows. The pendant light is hand thrown on a wheel in a speckled clay body and then modified with hand built coils to create the frame. The pendant body is hand brushed in a satin red glaze. All hardware is unlacquered brass, including a flat brass canopy. Black round cord. Overall drop is currently 60", but can be modified to your specification. Ceramic Pendant Shade is 9.5” Diameter x 7.5” H
