About the Item

Take a look at this fantastic and very rare Art Nouveau chandelier from the beginning of the 20th century around 1905. This lamp is something special, early Scandinavian Art Nouveau, which stands out due to its focus on the essentials, form and aesthetics, for which Denmark became one of the world's design forges in the decades that followed. The material consists of brass with a very high copper content, which gives this lamp its special shine. Particularly worthy of mention is the faience bowl in the middle, which was colored by a master hand. The three lampshades made of artfully matte glass in the shape of a flower spread a beautiful warm and soft light. The light bulb base is designed for an E27 thread, which normally also accommodates E26 bulbs without any problems. According to the previous owner, the wiring was renewed in the 1980s. The lamp comes from a Scandinavian Art Nouveau villa and will certainly find a representative place in your home too.
