Early 20th Century French Painted Iron Six-Light Sailboat Chandelier

About the Item

Decorate a kitchen island or breakfast room with this colorful antique light fixture. Forged in France, circa 1920 and oblong in shape, the fixture has six iron arms with newly wired lights, each dressed with decorative candle sleeve covers. At its center lies a beautifully detailed sailboat motif, depicted sailing atop stylized blue ocean waves. The classic red painted ship is decorated with large sails and gilt canon ports adding further detail to the maritime theme. The elegant fixture is additionally decorated with acanthus leaf motifs and scrolled iron work throughout. This unique chandelier is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns a wonderful patinated iron finish with gilt accents throughout. Ideal for a lake house or beach cabin, this chandelier would be a captivating addition to any coastal or nautical-themed setting. Included: A canopy, loop, and chain; each color-matched to the fixture. Measures: 27.5" W x 17" D x 23.75" H.
