French 19th Century Belle Époque Period Ormolu And Baccarat Crystal Chandelier
About the Item
A very attractive French 19th century Belle Époque Period Louis XVI st. Ormolu and Baccarat crystal chandelier. The six arm, nine light chandelier is centered by a stunning facetted Baccarat crystal ball pendant below a charming berried finial. The arms are joined at the central by a circular platform with Ormolu finials which surround an impressive central electrified crystal dagger with additional scrolled movements and crystals protruding out from between the electrified arms. Each scrolled arm is decorated with richly chased acanthus leaves, berried foliage, large and thick Baccarat crystals of various shapes, and with three arms ending with bird heads under the saucer and candle cups. Leading up to the top crown are three decorative chains held in the mouths of eagles and centered by a stunning facetted Baccarat crystal ball with delicate beads. Wonderful quality throughout.
