About the Item

A stunning French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and Baccarat crystal chandelier. The twelve arm chandelier is centered by a beautiful richly chased bottom acorn finial below lovely foliate designs and the circular tapered body. The body is decorated with finely detailed masks of beautiful maidens amidst striking swaging berried laurel garlands from where the elegantly scrolled arms branch out over two levels. Each of the fluted arms is adorned with large richly chased acanthus leaves and lovely prism shaped cut Baccarat crystal pendants leading to elegant spiraled bobeches and mottled candle cups. The beautiful central fut displays a stunning array of intricately detailed berries, acanthus leaves, and fletchings in a quiver centered by elegant scrolled movements leading to the floral top crown. * Shades are shown for display purposes only.

This truly gorgeous six light chandelier is centered by a berried acorn bottom finial hanging below an acanthus leaf spray that introduces the fluted central fut.
